sleeping update
so for those of you who read my recent blog about my nighttime adventures with my boomerang boy and the leech, here is an update. the day after that post, i spent the morning rearranging the upstairs. the crib came out of our bedroom and is now in the guest room. i knew that i had to start allowing ben to "cry-it-out" and i couldn't very well do that while evan was trying to get his sleep before the work day. he has been doing very well in his crib and is now down to waking only once or twice and crying just a bit before settling himself back down. boomerang boy...same old same old. he continues to get out of bed the instant that we put him in. i guess we have just resigned ourselves to the fact that the time between when we initially put him down and the time that he actually falls asleep is going to be at least 2 hours. since we know this, we deal with it and make the most of our nights. oh, gotta run. ben is now eating one of evan's builder magazines!!! and sulli is "tut tutting" him. thanks bumpa for that disciplinary tool. it is used quite often!

yay for Ben! Start early with Sulli - that will give you lots of lead time! Maybe as early as 7 or 8, then bedtime will at least be 9 or 10? Also...the supernanny thing worked for Langley at this age - when you put him back in bed/his room, don't make eye contact or talk to him, just tuck him in. Then he isn't getting the attention he is seeking at that time. Just some thoughts!
Congrats on getting Ben into another room. I can't believe you've kept him in your room as long as you have! You must be a Saint. Max has already been ushered into his crib & he's only 3 1/2 weeks old! Good luck with Sulli & let me know of any magic that you find working b/c Wyatt is doing the exact same thing these days.
yeah.... i'm cheering that someone else has one of those kinds of boys...the kind that WILL not stay in their bed. granted, mine's 21 months and climbing out of his crib, but it's all the same. we've just decided to let him sleep on the floor. we have a blanket laid out in front of the door, cause that's where he usually crashes. i think i'm gonna do a post on this too. :O) love ya and keep up the good work mama
