zoo mania

we had a spontaneous evening last night and up and went to the zoo. the q's invited us for a summer kick off event at the zoo. i didn't want to go at first because i had worked hard yesterday morning to get a good meal going in my crockpot. at 5 pm i went to check my beef burgundy and to my dismay, the outlet that i had plugged it into wasn't working. so there was my uncooked meal still sitting there as i had left it that morning. after that happened, i said...we're going! and i am so glad that we did. you will recognize sulli's future bride in the pictures...oh they are cute. they both enjoyed a ride on the merry-go-round, saw lots of animals and enjoyed the dinner of hot dog and chips. we saved the best for last...the ice cream. when we arrived we were surprised...maggie moo was making a personal appearance and...there was no more ice cream! we had waited too long. bummer! ainsley was the cows best friend whereas sulli wasn't too sure of this 9 foot tall hefer (hence mom in the picture). overall it was a great night. glad that we allowed ourselves to be spontaneous and spend some good time with some good friends.
